Day 3: Corregidor Island Tour (B, L)

Proceed to Corregidor Island Tour
Corregidor, the island fortress, is a 1-hour ferryboat ride from the Manila breakwaters. Located 26 miles West of Manila, the “Rock” was the last Filipino-American bastion to fall to the Japanese during WWII. The tour includes a guided visit to the is-land’s many “silent guns” and his-torical landmarks. The stirring Light and Sound Show inside the cavernous Malinta Tunnel, which served as General Douglas McArthur’s headquarters during the siege, should not be missed.

Explore Manila on your own. Visit Mall of Asia. For bargain items, try Greenhills Shopping Center or Tutuban Center. Or, for the young and the young at heart, visit Manila Ocean Park.
